The terms that apply when you use Roamer, including purchases and subscriptions. Last updated August 20, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and Roamer ("Roamer", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship based in British Columbia, Canada. They apply when you use the Roamer app or website. By creating an account or using Roamer, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Roamer.
Roamer is a collaborative trip-planning app. You can create trips, build an itinerary, share the trip with other people, split expenses, keep notes and share photos and documents within a trip.
You keep ownership of everything you put into Roamer — your trips, notes, expenses, messages, photos and documents. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service: to store your content, sync it across your devices, and show it to the people you have shared a trip with.
Content you add to a shared trip is visible to the other people on that trip. Think of a trip as a shared space, and only add things you are comfortable sharing with the people in it.
Do not use Roamer to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to upload malicious software, to harass or abuse other people, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to other users' data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Roamer is free to use for planning a trip. Some features are paid, and where they are offered they are sold as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play. Your purchase is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled under their policies — we cannot issue a refund for a store purchase directly. You can request one through Apple or Google. If a purchase is refunded, the paid features it unlocked stop being available.
If a subscription lapses or a purchase is refunded, you lose access to the paid features, but not to what you already made with them. Trips, notes, expenses, photos and documents stay in your account, and anything already exported or downloaded to your device remains yours.
We may change prices or what is included in a paid plan. A price change to an existing subscription takes effect at the next renewal and only after we have told you, and where the app stores require it, only with your consent. Changes never remove content you have already created.
We work to keep Roamer running, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service. If we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we will provide a pro-rated refund or an equivalent where the law requires it.
Roamer relies on third-party services to work — including app stores for payments, maps and place-search providers, and email and notification providers. Their terms apply to their part of the service. See our Privacy Policy for who they are and what they receive.
You can stop using Roamer and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by following these instructions. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Deleting your account does not automatically refund a purchase.
Roamer is a planning tool. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Roamer is not a travel agency and does not make, hold or guarantee any booking. Always confirm flights, accommodation and other reservations directly with the provider. Details captured by reservation autofill are a convenience and should be checked against the original confirmation.
To the extent permitted by law, Roamer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or travel costs arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law of the place you live.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and where the change is significant we will tell you in the app.
